Billboards honoring Charlie Kirk pop up after street renaming fails

A week after aldermen declined to rename a Hernando street for conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, residents have turned to billboards to honor him instead.
The two new electronic signs, placed on Interstate 55 near the Landers Center and I-55 near Delta Technical College, display tributes to Kirk, who was killed in what Hernando Alderman Ben Piper described as a “heinous and cowardly act.”
