Madison Carlisle stepped to the plate at Wifflestock Saturday afternoon, and the pitcher — a man, of course — tried to tell her she was standing too close to the plate to get a good swing.
The man was being patronizing, and that annoyed Carlisle, a former high school softball player who had offers to play the sport in college.
“He’s like, ‘I’m not trying to show you where to stand, but scoot back a little bit,’” she said after the game. “I was like, ‘I’m good, just throw the ball.’”
He did, and she smacked it over the fence.
