A perfect place for poetry and pondering opens at the National Civil Rights Museum
Previously, the small park between Main Street and the museum on Mulberry Street was mostly just a grassy expanse. Now, it has landscaping, concrete terraces, seating, green spaces and more with expectations that it will be used for events, small festivals, concerts and the like. The National Civil Rights Museum celebrated the opening of the BlueCross Healthy Place at Founders Park on Saturday, the first phase of the museum’s two-part, $38 million expansion.
