Hill: Memphis wants GameDay. But will GameDay want Memphis?

I have good news, Memphis. The College GameDay dream is still alive. 

Memphis Tigers athletic director Ed Scott said it himself on social media Monday. He was as direct as he could possibly be. 

“We are still under consideration,” Scott said plainly on X. 


American commissioner hopeful College GameDay can visit Memphis


Scott’s post followed news that ESPN had already been in contact with the athletic department earlier in the week to explore if hosting the popular television show would be an option at all. 

That seems encouraging, right?

Certainly! But before you start celebrating what this could mean for the city, maybe it’s best to hold off.
