Two days after former Memphis Grizzly Tony Allen was arrested for drug possession alongside an Arkansas highway, a clearer picture has begun to emerge about what happened that day, based on bodycam footage and public records.
Allen and former local wrestler William Grant Hatton were taken into custody in Poinsett County on Wednesday morning after deputies found marijuana and cocaine in a car Hatton was driving. Both spent the night in jail but were each released the next day on $1,000 bonds.
Allen is due in court Dec. 19, Poinsett County Sheriff Kevin Molder said Friday. Hatton has the same court date, according to Molder.
