Otis Sanford: Just because you are Glen Casada, a white, Republican, conservative former elected official with inroads to the president of the United States does not mean you should be let off the hook.

That statement is brought to you courtesy of U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee, who now has designs on becoming the state’s next governor. Except the name and title in the statement have been changed to expose the guilty.

Blackburn’s actual quote, posted on Facebook, was, “Just because you are under the age of 18 does not mean you should be let off the hook.” It accompanied her call for Congress to pass her Violent Juvenile Offender Accountability Act.
