‘Missed opportunities’ plague Tigers’ 2025 season

Thursday’s 28-17 loss to Navy capped a 2025 Memphis Tigers regular season that went off the rails in the second half of the schedule.

After being the highest-ranked Group of Six team in the country at one point, the Tigers have lost three straight games and four of their last six.

The issues plaguing Memphis are deeper than quarterback Brendon Lewis playing through an injury, which he has been doing.

“The missed opportunities, I think, that would sum up the whole thing of our failures in these games,” Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield said.
