Daily Jigsaw: Huff has the stuff
New Memphis football coach Charles Huff ended his introductory speech Wednesday with a quick explanation about a tiger’s role as an apex predator.
“Apex predators are at the top of the food chain,” Huff said. “Their job is to reset and establish order in the ecosystem. It’s time for the Memphis Tigers to get to the top of the food chain and establish order and consistency in the college football ecosystem.”
Huff spoke at the podium while university president Bill Hardgrave, athletic director Ed Scott and Board of Trustees chairman Cato Johnson sat at the table behind him.
