Do you ever start planning a trip in your head? France is currently my “delusional destination,” and La Baguette in Chickasaw Oaks shopping center quite literally feeds it. 

As a kid, I spent many Sunday afternoons strategizing with my brothers about what we’d get from La Baguette’s pastry case. After testing our mom’s patience, it usually ended up being the chocolate croissant and mini lemon tarts. By the time the pastry reached my hands, I was locked in until we got to the car. The anticipation was unbearable. 

It wasn’t until I got older that I ventured past the pastries and notorious shelf of day-old bread begging to be made into French toast that I found La Baguette’s lunch dining area.
