Here’s what happened at the Tennessee Capitol last week

Every building on Nashville’s Capitol Hill — the Cordell Hull legislative offices, the Tennessee Supreme Court chamber, and of course the Capitol itself — was alive with legislative and legal action this week.

Republican immigration bills began moving forward in force, two Memphis lawmakers are poised to pass a bill regarding bail and guns, and pharmacies faced off with lawmakers.

So take a break from mourning the impending loss of IKEA’s Swedish meatballs and read this breakdown of the last week in state politics.
