Penny Hardaway says he ‘really will die’ for Tigers’ program in passionate monologue
“I look at this city like a 5-year-old boy looks at his mom; I look at this city like a 10-year-old girl looks at her dad,” said Memphis Tigers basketball coach Penny Hardaway, left, at press conference Wednesday, March 18, with athletic director Ed Scott. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian)
“I don’t make any excuses for what’s happened, for what I’ve failed at,” Tigers basketball coach Penny Hardaway said after finishing 13-19 this past season. “But I know I can come back from failure.”
