President Donald Trump came to Memphis Monday, March 23, to celebrate the results of the Memphis Safe Task Force.
Joining him were Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, and the assembled leaders spoke at length in front of an audience of National Guardsmen and members of the media.
The Daily Memphian sent four staffers to the event and today, one of them, veteran reporter Bill Dries, is here to talk about some of the behind-the-scenes details of a presidential visit.
