The 46th Annual Southaven Springfest is officially underway at Snowden Grove Park, bringing a five-day mix of carnival attractions, community gatherings and a barbecue contest to the city.

The event, which began Tuesay, April 21, and runs through Saturday, April 25, has transformed the park into a major attraction. The grounds feature an extensive carnival that includes a variety of kiddie and major rides alongside traditional games and concessions.

However, city leaders say the event is much more than just a typical fair. For Southaven’s mayor, Darren Musselwhite, the festival represents a vital tradition that marks the transition of the seasons.
