New field hospital opens its flaps in Robert Church Park
Members of the Memphis Fire Department help set up three inflatable field hospitals that can spring to life in seven minutes and hold roughly 20 beds each, in Robert Church Park Tuesday, July 16. Memphis Office of Emergency Management will have tours of the brand-new tent city from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday. (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian)
Among its other attributes, a local, inflatable field hospital will take pressure off hospital resources in a bona fide emergency at a large event in Memphis.
