The University of Tennessee Health Science Center recently received welcome news — more than $300 million from the state for a new College of Medicine.
That $311 million from the state is not only historic, but also an opportunity to use new technology and modern spaces to recruit medical students nationwide, while addressing a critical nursing and physician shortage in Tennessee, officials said.
