DeSoto deputies cleared of wrongdoing in fatal 2024 shooting, now face civil lawsuit

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch recently cleared the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office of wrongdoing in a fatal 2024 shooting. But the family of Jamarcus Brown is now suing in federal court over his death.
