Daily Jigsaw: Juneteenth joy
People flocked to the National Civil Rights Museum on Friday, June 19, to celebrate Juneteenth through music, history and education.
The museum’s courtyard filled with lines of people waiting to enter the museum for free well before the museum opened, NCRM President Russ Wigginton said.
“One of the things historically about African Americans is their ability to find joy,” Wigginton said.
