Daily Jigsaw: HiFi Memphis
The development team behind the restoration of the historic Sterick Building plans to turn a quiet Downtown corner into a bustling public market that could serve as a catalyst for neighborhood growth and strengthen the food economy.
The newly formed nonprofit HiFi Memphis, operating as Memphis Public Market, bought two buildings with a total of 93,577 square feet at 158 Madison Ave. and 164 Madison Ave. for $1 million.
“Acquiring these two buildings is a big step forward for our vision of building a more vibrant and connected Downtown,” said Stuart Harris, principal with Constellation Properties and a HiFi Memphis board member.
