‘A deep love’: Inside the life and career of Trey Crump, Memphis Heritage’s first executive director in four years
Trey Crump spent his youth at the historic Mallory-Neely House, where his great-aunt was a docent. (The Daily Memphian file)
In the late 1980s, 17-year-old Trey Crump visited his grandparents’ home for the last time: a mid-century modern house on several acres on Colonial Road.
Crump and his brother had chased each other through its spacious rooms and swam in the large pool. His great-aunts had arrived in the evenings for cocktail hours.
Golfing legends like Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer had come to visit his grandfather, Curtis Person Sr., the world’s top-seeded amateur golfer.
