Historic Daisy Theater begins renovations after 2025 fire

The Historic Daisy Theater (commonly known as the Old Daisy) is getting a makeover after an electrical fire last year damaged the inside.
The theater, located at 329 Beale St., has been closed since June 2025, when an electrical fire damaged much of the interior, including the stage and offices.
Thirteen months later, Lucille Catron, who leases the building from the city, said the renovation had been given the green light by both the city and the insurance company.
