Jaylen Wells hopes busy, rewarding offseason will translate to the court

Two seasons ago, Memphis Grizzlies guard Jaylen Wells was a second-round NBA Draft pick thrust into a starting role just weeks into his professional career.
Wells, who thought he may start with G League reps, couldn’t believe it. So much so, he likened it to playing “My Player” on the league’s licensed NBA 2K video game.
Those days are now long gone. His new reality has sunk in. Wells is tenured enough to feel like an NBA veteran.
