Grizzlies podcast: Drafting teams from crowded roster
On this episode of The Daily Memphian’s Memphis Grizzlies podcast, Drew Hill and Chris Herrington draft teams from the Grizzlies’ current 23-man roster.
Hill and Herrington agree on a top tier that includes Cameron Boozer, Zach Edey, Cedric Coward and Ty Jerome. From there, the draft turns into a battle of size and physicality vs. backcourt skill.
The exercise underlines the importance of playmakers and the versatility created when Boozer can operate the offense. It also shows the difficulty facing the Grizzlies in deciding who will be on the roster at the beginning of training camp.
