In one week, Skyler King will ride from Oxford, Mississippi, to the Big Apple on a skateboard.
Yes, on a skateboard.
The journey is nearly 1,200 miles and would take an entire day driving by car. By skateboard, King hopes to reach New York on Sept. 3, just more than a month after he takes off.
That day marks the two-year anniversary of his older brother’s death.
That’s why he’s doing it. He wants to raise awareness about suicide and mental health in honor of Justin Judkins.
