Players to watch during Tigers’ fan fest

By , Daily Memphian Published: August 08, 2026 4:00 AM CT

Memphis football coach Charles Huff reminded people earlier this week that Saturday’s free fan fest will not resemble a game or scrimmage.

The event, which will begin with gates opening at 3 p.m., will be a regular practice for the Tigers. A 35-minute autograph and photo session will occur afterward, and Saturday will allow fans to see the progress made on the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium renovation.

Memphis expects the stadium to be finished before its Sept. 5 home opener against Arkansas State. The Tigers open the season Aug. 29 at UNLV, three weeks from Saturday.
