FedEx’s Network 2.0 has closed facilities and cut jobs — is it working?

In June 2022, FedEx Corp. announced a strategy focused on what may be the most important aspect of supply and logistics work: delivering packages more efficiently.
The new initiative had a simple name: Network 2.0. And after four years, the effects of FedEx’s strategy are still evident: facilities are being closed, and jobs are being lost nationwide.
FedEx officials recently said they have helped thousands of affected employees find jobs. They offer relocation assistance, new roles to many affected employees and severance depending on years of service.
