From Nosferatu to Godzilla, the Beale Street Monster Club celebrates all things horror

A curious crowd came to the upper floor of A. Schwab’s on Saturday to view the 1925 silent movie classic, “A Lost World Rediscovered,” hosted by the Beale Street Monster Club.
In addition to a showing of the movie, the event also had some memorabilia on display, including old movie posters of dinosaur movies, a collection of “Jurassic Park” movies and novels and even a couple of dino fossils, notably a tooth from a Spinosaurus that roamed North Africa around 100 million years ago.
This was the latest in a series of events put on by the Beale Street Monster Club, usually at A. Schwab’s. Typically, the club screens a classic horror film, perhaps accompanied by a talk or memorabilia display.
