The AM/DM podcast: Last day at the Brooks

This week truly represents the end of an era, as the last day to visit the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art in Overton Park is Sunday. After that, art lovers will have to wait until the new Downtown museum opens in December.
Before that happens, though, we’ll have two looks back this week. One is the Memphis 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. The other is the rededication of the Doughboy statue in Overton Park, which includes a talk about World War I’s impact on Memphis.
Arts and culture editor Elle Perry is back today to help us set up the week ahead.
One note, Thursday’s court hearing about the Memphis-Shelby County Schools takeover has been postponed until Friday, Oct. 2.
