A local developer plans to renovate a former Porter-Leath building at 868 N. Manassas St., turning it into a home for veterans.
The 27,249-square-foot adaptive reuse, called “The Leath,” will have 34 residential units. Each unit will have a kitchenette but there will also be a kitchen on the ground floor, according to a $5.6 million commercial alteration permit filed in September.
Kenneth Perkins, president of AON Investments, is developing the project.
