Van Turner and Gary Wunderlich
Memphis River Parks Partnership recently welcomed Van Turner and Gary Wunderlich to its board of directors.
Turner, Shelby County Commission chairman, partner in Bruce Turner PLLC law firm, and founder and president of nonprofit organization Memphis Greenspace, Inc., has joined the Memphis River Parks Partnership as commission representative.
Wunderlich is the founder and former CEO of Wunderlich Securities, Inc., where he guided the full-service investment firm from four employees to more than 400.
Kevin Andre Brooks
LeMoyne-Owen College has hired Kevin Andre Brooks as its director of alumni affairs. Brooks joins LeMoyne-Owen with a strong background in education leadership and community advocacy.
Brooks previously served as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore and Morgan State University. He graduated from LeMoyne-Owen with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, obtained a Master of Education from Coppin State University, a Master of Divinity from Howard University, a Certificate of Non-Profit Executive Management from Duke University, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Payne Theological Seminary.
Lehman-Roberts Co., a leader in the highway paving, construction and aggregate industry, has hired Adam Chaffin as project superintendent and Pamela Gordon as recruiter and talent acquisition specialist.

In his new role as project superintendent, Chaffin is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations for Lehman-Roberts Co. Chaffin has 24 years of experience in asphalt testing, design and lay-down operations and most recently was the operations manager for the Texas Division of Superior Asphalt.
As recruiter and talent acquisition specialist, Gordon is responsible for talent sourcing and recruiting for Lehman-Roberts Co. and sister company, Memphis Stone & Gravel Co., through networking and industry relationships. She also assists with candidate identification, interview and selection and management of candidate engagement. Prior to joining Lehman-Roberts Co., Gordon worked as a recruiter for Youth Villages.
Hillary Weiss
Hillary Weiss has joined the law firm of Shea, Moskovitz & McGhee as an attorney. In her new role, Weiss will continue to practice criminal law, while the main focus of her practice will primarily be family law matters including divorce, custody, child support and more. Prior to joining Shea, Moskovitz & McGhee, Weiss served in the Shelby County Public Defender’s office for two years.
Weiss earned her undergraduate degree in communications from Boston University and juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.
Essence Prince
Essence Prince has been hired by architecture firm Renaissance Group, Inc. as an architectural associate. In her new role, Prince assists in many of the design phases with digital massing model studies, Revit and Sketchup Pro. Prince graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in architecture.
Bradley Gilmer and Patricia E. Adrian have joined the Memphis office of Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh PLLC, one of the largest law firms in the city, as members. Gilmer has 18 years of experience in representing doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and investigations and previously worked with Baker Donelson’s healthcare liability group.
Adrian’s practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate, economic development, business and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and commercial finance transactions. Prior to joining Harris Shelton, she was a partner at Farris Bobango PLC.
Abbie Gordon and Cara Greenstein
DCA, a creative communications consulting firm based in Downtown Memphis, has promoted Abbie Gordon to Senior Account Manager and Cara Greenstein to Senior PR & Social Media Manager.
Gordon, who joined DCA in 2016, has been instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive communications plans for clients including Explore Bike Share, Big River Crossing, and the Mighty Lights.
Greenstein joined DCA in 2014, and has since grown to oversee the firm’s full public relations and social media client roster. Greenstein’s role balances strategic planning and consulting with detailed execution of earned and owned media channels.
Justin Kamm
Justin Kamm has been hired as Memphis International Raceway's (MIR) sports venue’s general manager.
In his new role, Kamm will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 342-acre multi-use facility which includes a combined quarter and eighth-mile dragstrip, 1.8-mile road course and three-quarter mile, high-banked paved oval.
Kamm is a graduate of Catawba College.
