Baptist part of trial for mitral heart valve replacement
Dr. Basil Paulus is doing new work with tendyne and heart valve disease at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. “It’s amazing what good you can do,” he said of practicing cardiology. “I thought I was going to be an ophthalmologist until I did my cardiology rotation. I fell in love with it.” (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian)
Baptist-Memphis is among the sites approved to test Abbott Vascular’s Tendyne, a catheterized replacement for the heart’s complicated mitral valve.
