The Memphis-based paper company Sylvamo announced Wednesday, April 16, CEO Jean-Michel Ribiéras will retire Dec. 31.
Sylvamo’s recently disclosed the compensation earned by certain executives in 2022, including its CEO Jean-Michel Ribiéras, who earned almost $7 million through a combination of salary, stock and other incentives.
The new cooperation agreement includes customary restrictions and voting commitments.
The move to the Primacy I office building at 6077 Primacy Parkway — less than two miles from the IP towers — allows the paper company to house around 350 of its employees, who began returning to the office in October.
Sylvamo’s strong quarter is in contrast to other Memphis-based companies, particularly FedEx and International Paper, both of which reported lower-than-expected earnings in their most recent quarters.
A spinoff of International Paper, Sylvamo became a standalone, publicly traded company last fall.
