Exodus Marketplace will be open Monday-Saturday, offering wholesale prices on produce, bread, eggs, honey and jams, meats and other food items from Mid-South vendors.
In the wake of the loss of Mia Madison, Memphis Tilth has merged with For The Kingdom, and the organizations continue to expand the legacy Madison left behind.
Madison died in a one-vehicle car crash at Millbranch Road and Interstate 55 in Whitehaven at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, July 10.
”My commitment is to improve environmental health, food security, self-sufficiency and, overall, quality of life for residents in the Greater Memphis area,” she wrote in her biography on Memphis Tilth’s website. “My goal is to build a better system of urban and rural farmers, community gardeners and food security advocates across our region.”
Leadership Germantown planted more than 200 plants on over the weekend at one of Memphis Tilth’s community gardens. It was the culmination and final step of this year’s class project.
