Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority commissioners feel the board’s job is vital to the local economy, no matter who sits on it. Many of them could soon be replaced following passage of a new state law.
Newly appointed chairman of the Greater Memphis Chamber Chairman’s Circle Mike Keeney said he believes if Memphians can work together, “we can create a place where people want to live.”
Mike Keeney, a lifelong Memphian, will lead a group of executives in promoting economic development, growing the workforce and improving the business climate.
The project will start in April and is expected to take two years. Ultimately a five-lane road will be the airport’s entrance.Related content:
