SCS and Nashville schools were remote for longer than all other districts. State leaders withdrew the flexibility for districts to keep all students at home, stressing the impact of “learning loss.”
Some parents are frustrated that their students are learning remotely this week. Superintendent Gary Lilly said staff will “monitor the situation” before deciding to reopen three of its schools to students.
Students will learn remotely for two weeks. Three more coronavirus cases have been reported, bringing the total to eight. The entire varsity football team is in quarantine.
