Memphis previously secured a first-round bye by winning the AAC regular season title, meaning the Tigers have not played since Nov. 1, when they played to a 2-2 draw against FIU in Miami.
The top-seeded Tigers advance to their fourth straight championship final, and will face No. 3 seed East Carolina on Sunday.
After the 4-2 victory, the Tigers advance into the American Athletic Conference’s final four teams.
Memphis moves to 7-6-3 (4-1-2) and will host the semifinals and final of the AAC Tournament.
