Fashion designer to unveil collection inspired by her childhood at St. Jude
Fashion designer and illustrator Kris Keys is unveiling an exhibition on Saturday, Jan. 12, for her fashion collection “Hematology.” The exhibition is themed after the rare, malignant blood disorder she was born with. “I decided that my final collection for the ending of school would be based on my blood disorder because they look sort of like watercolor prints and watercolors, the medium that I had always used in my fashion illustrations.” (Houston Cofield/Daily Memphian)
When designer and fashion illustrator Kris Keys needed a muse for her most recent collection of womenswear, the former St. Jude patient looked deep within herself.
