The AM/DM podcast: Moving with the movies

Earlier this week, Malco Theatres quietly announced that it would soon offer haptic and motion seats to two area theaters.

In those special seats, movie-goers will get to experience “movements, vibrations and textures” synced to what they are watching on screen.

It may remind us of Disney World rides or the idea for Smell-O-Vision, but it may also be a way to get people back into movie theaters.

Today, The Daily Memphian’s arts and culture editor Elle Perry is here to talk about this moving development.
