The political divide on xAI in the city drifted into the open this past week with Mayor Paul Young’s op-ed piece in The Daily Memphian.
Young specifically responded to an increasingly organized and vocal movement opposed to the data center’s presence in the city and the ties of the company’s CEO Elon Musk to President Donald Trump. That in a majority Democratic city.
