Greater Memphis Chamber CEO placed on leave, reasons unclear

Ted Townsend, president and CEO of the Greater Memphis Chamber, has been placed on leave, according to sources familiar with the matter.

An executive of a Downtown organization, who requested to remain anonymous, said Townsend sent him a message saying he had been put on leave, but he did not elaborate.

Two other sources with knowledge of the situation also confirmed that Townsend was on leave.
