East Memphis fitness studio goes beyond barre-minimum to build community

In just three years, Ainsley Hightower turned a struggling barre studio in East Memphis into a premier spot for women wanting to combine fitness and community.

Neighborhood Barre at 5101 Sanderlin Ave. has been so successful that Hightower decided to launch a second location in Germantown, which opens next month.

The studio’s success is thanks to workouts that are made to be accessible to anyone, no matter the skill level, Hightower said.
