Why do Tenn. vaccine stats look great on some models, terrible in others?
Trying to understand vaccination metrics can be extremely difficult. For example, Tennessee ranks 19th in the nation for the number of doses it has given and 16th for the number of people fully vaccinated. But it trails at 28th for the percentage of population fully vaccinated. (Patrick Lantrip/Daily Memphian file)
Vaccine trackers reflect the daily raw data that feed them, but experts say specific comparisons are hard to make because there is so much inconsistency in data collection, among other factors.
