Le Bonheur adding new high-tech ambulances
Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, the region’s primary level 1 pediatric trauma center, has seven ambulances in its fleet. “But a lot of them are coming to the end of life to where you just really cannot repair them,” said Dr. Rudy Kink, medical director of Le Bonheur’s Pedi-Flite transportation team. The ambulances will be funded by nearly $1 million U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Memphis) secured through the congressional appropriations process.
