Shelby County and U of M partner to build public health workforce
To bolster the local public health workforce, the Shelby County Health Department has partnered with the University of Memphis School of Public Health, which played a crucial role in the proposal that resulted in the five-year $13.8 million federal grant from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Over the next five years, the health department will use nearly $14 million in CDC funding to bolster its workforce and infrastructure.
