Nurse Leah Holder and her 10-month-old daughter Mercy James are celebrating their first Mother’s Day together thanks to the care they received from Holder’s colleagues at Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis.

Holder, also the mother of a 3-year-old daughter, is an experienced nurse who has provided labor and delivery, postpartum and neonatal intensive care to patients at Saint Francis.

Her pregnancy was considered high-risk because 18 months earlier she’d given birth to a daughter at Saint Francis. The baby had been stillborn.
