Dr. Lloyd Finks was dining with his wife Shannon one night when they began discussing the many flaws in the health care system, including cost, value, transparency and patient care.
After scribbling down all of the problems on a napkin, they decided to open their own practice.
Finks is a doctor of internal medicine who previously worked for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. Shannon Finks is a pharmacist and a professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center who previously worked for the VA Memphis Healthcare.
“We’ve always wanted to work together, but we were each on different career paths,” Shannon Finks said.
