Neon green became a symbol of hope, resilience and community at this year’s 465-mile Memphis to Peoria Run, which kicked off on the campus of St. Jude Children’ Research Hospital on Wednesday, July 30.

The annual relay begins with a drive from Peoria, Illinois, which is home to The Jim and Trudy Maloof St. Jude Midwest Affiliate Clinic — St. Jude’s first satellite clinic.

About 200 runners, some sporting neon-green running shoes, shorts or laces, convened at the starting line on St. Jude’s Downtown campus to kick off the four-day run back to Peoria.
