Most of UTHSC occupational therapy faculty resign amid abuse allegations

Five of the seven faculty members of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s occupational therapy department have resigned over accusations that officials failed to address a colleague accused of verbally abusing students.

The list of resignations includes department chair Anne Zachry, whose brother, state Rep. Chris Hurt, R, Halls, shared the news in an impassioned speech on the floor of the legislature last week.
