“Open up your eyes, sweet girl,” Kaitlyn Bothwell, 26, whispered to her 7-day-old baby Kennedy Jae Bothwell. “This is your first photo shoot.” Quiet coo sounds came from the room in the neonatal intensive care unit as Kennedy Jae opened and closed her eyes, blinking into the light from a nearby window.
