MLGW pole blocks Grind City from opening taproom
Grind City Brewing owner Hopper Seely stands next to Memphis Light, Gas and Water pole in the new brewery’s property on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. The new brewery is already making beer for wholesale sales, and its taproom has been ready to open for months. But, the taproom's opening must wait for MLGW to remove the power pole that stands in the middle of a new access road. (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian)
Owners have spent nearly $11 million building Grind City Brewery Co. near Uptown. They are frustrated that the taproom's opening has been delayed for months while they wait for MLGW to move a power pole from the middle of the access drive.
