Parking lot demo approved for Parkview Apartments
The Parkview at 1914 Poplar Ave. was built as a hotel/apartment building in 1923. Plans were recently approved to demolish a section at the rear of the building to make room for a parking lot. (Neil Strebig/The Daily Memphian file)
A one-story building behind the apartments will be razed to make way for a parking lot with a brick wall barrier.
